Description
Letter in which Jameson also writes that he hopes the Queen’s portrait will be finished as John wishes but muses that he is unlikely to get to see it as “this blessed word ‘Duration’ may easily mean a longer time than I shall be left here”. He feels he is now too old to be the subject of a portrait, as he no longer resembles the man he was. Jameson comments on how he, John, and Lutyens have all been ill. Letter concludes with good wishes to John. Letter is addressed from Sutton House, Sutton, County Dublin.
