Download: view IIIF manifest
Description
Note in which Jameson states that he wrote to John to let him know the operation was successful and that he is now able to travel to Dublin. There is no hope however of his travelling to England, so he asked John to suggest dates when he might come to Ireland. Jameson also mentioned his hope that eventually the finished portrait would be hung in the Bank of Ireland. Aide memoire is written on headed paper addressed from Sutton House, Sutton, County Dublin.
