Description
Handwritten letter in which Orpen writes that Sir William Tyrell now lives by Orpen's studio and that he often sees him in the old Brompton Road. 'Sir William Tyrell was Foreign Office representative here all through the Peace Conference and was very popular - he is a charming little man, and as clever as a bag of tricks.' Orpen also mentions that he will prepare a sketch as a wedding present for the [Harmsworth wedding?]. Letter includes a reference to the Orpens's daughter 'Bunny' who is keen to get a car. Orpen writes that he will think about this, 'she seems to have gone crazy on motoring.'
