Description
Handwritten letter on headed paper, addressed from Nederlandseh Koffiehuis Restaurant, Antwerp in which the writer describes the city, recommends that Orpen visit to view the works of Reubens and Rembrandt, and notes some of the disadvantages of the city, writing that 'I forgot one terrible shortcoming - there is only one urinal in the city and that accommodates one person at a time only.' Letter concludes with a pen sketch of a queue of men passing a statue of Reubens, on the way to the noted urinal.
