Description
Handwritten postcard from Brian Bourke to James White (Director, National Gallery of Ireland), sent from Germany. Bourke agrees that his paintings can be sent to the Biennale as they will be back in time for his show in November. He is particularly keen that his self-portraits be back in time, as they 'form the kernal of the November show.' The reverse side of the postcard has an image of the Visitation of Mary Church in Nussdorf am Inn, Germany and Bourke has written the following caption beneath, "As you see, I'm living a quiet life."
