Description
Collection contains two letters from Louis Le Brocquy to Dr A. Russell of Dublin, concerning an idea she has had of commissioning a portrait of her son Matthew. The idea came to nothing and is explained in the correspondence between both parties. There is also an accompanying letter from Matthew Russell to the ESB Centre for the Study of Irish Art outlining the background of the letters and offering to donate the items to the Centre for research purposes.
