Description
Manuscript letter from Burton to Armstrong (Director of the National Gallery of Ireland) relating that he has just received a letter from his cousin Colonel Frank Burton in India (a beneficiary of Sir Frederic William Burton's will) and leaves Henry Burton "no alternative but to wind up affairs at once [and] dispose of the pictures at Christie's." Burton asks Armstrong to send him the sketchbooks and portfolios, detailing their number and size.
