Description
Manuscript letter from Burton to Armstrong (third Director of the National Gallery of Ireland) regarding Burton's cousin Colonel Frank Burton (a beneficiary under Sir Frederic William Burton's will) expressing his disapproval of the proposed exhibition of Sir Frederic's pictures due to financial concerns. Henry Burton asks for Armstrong's advice on the matter, and has also included an extract taken from Frank Burton's letter for Armstrong to consider.
