Description
Handwritten letter with envelope from Sarah Purser to Mary Swanzy discussing the sudden death of Stella Seely as well as the artworks being shown in Dublin and the new National Gallery director's position. Artists mentioned are Jack B Yeats, Harry Clarke, Mainie Jellett and Mrs [Grace] Henry. The letter mentions 'M Jellett's "two abstract things"', possibly a reference to Jellett exhibiting two abstract paintings at the Dublin Painters Group Exhibition.
