Research - Photographic Research

Photographs, negatives and glass plate negatives of artworks by a variety of artists, from public and private collections. Files are arranged in their original order according to artist, collection, or exhibition. Paintings, drawings, engravings and manuscripts are represented. File 69 contains oversized photographs of Guercino artworks. All titles retain Sir Denis Mahon's original annotated titles. Also includes letters of correspondence but these are in the minority. All items have been scanned, as well as any annotations on the verso of photographs. If the verso has not been scanned, it was blank.
