The following were approved for purchase; "Jane Seymour Conway" by Charles Jervas [NGI 4118], "Daydreams" by Samuel McCloy [NGI 4119], and "Portrait of Jack B. Yeats" by Sarah Purser [NGI 4120]. A painting by James Barry was rejected for purchase. The following gifts were accepted; "Woman with Pram" by Edward Glannon [NGI 4121], "Desolation" by Andrew O'Connor, and three panels painted on glass by Thomas Jervais and Richard Hand. The board accepted three pictures on loan, and sanctioned five loan requests. Permission was given for one concert and two functions to be held in the Gallery. The Director sought permission to hold the Children's Art Holiday, and to hold an exhibition of drawings and paintings to celebrate Architectural Heritage Year, which was granted for both.
