Description
Minutes of a board meeting held on 2nd June 1926 in which the following was discussed: a letter was received from Mr Alec Martin in relation to the 16 H.B. Brabazon drawings. The drawings were accepted with the conditions attatched [NGI 2753-2768]. Three more portraits by J.B. Yeats were donated from the John Quinn Collection, bringing the final total to six [NGI 869-874]. The offer of six marble statues from the executors of Percy Fitzgerald was declined. A monetary gift was received from St Patrick's Society, Singapore. A letter was read in reference to the bequest of Mrs Marion Eleanor Jervis White, of a portrait of Samuel Kyle, however a decision was postponed until the portrait could be inspected. The board accepted the gift of a bronze by J. Donoghue [NGI 8037]. A letter was read regarding the desire to have a guide for persons leading school-children through the Gallery.
