Description
Minutes of a board meeting held on 25th January 1900 in which the following was discussed: the will of Henry Vaughan was read, in which he left 31 Turner drawings to the Gallery, under set conditions. These conditions include that they only be displayed during the month of January, free of charge and all 31 drawings must be displayed all at one time. Mr Vaughan also stipulated that when not on display, the drawings must be stored in the accompanying wooden cabinet also bequeathed to the Gallery. The Director then submitted a draft deed of the gift from the Countess of Milltown and reported that the collection had been inspected.
