Handwritten letter with envelope from Hugh Lane to Sarah Cecilia Harrison of 14 North Frederick St, Dublin, calling Dublin Corporation 'hopeless' and intends to write to the director of the Edinburgh Art Gallery to cede Orchardson's masterpiece to them. Lane discusses Yeats' performance in the Court Theatre including his 'fine speech' and his reading of George Bernard Shaw's 'amusing letter'.
