Transcript of card from Harry Clarke to Thomas Bodkin thanking him for the 'Holbein' which he is returning. He also says that he saw Mear who is "pursuing the ruffian". The 'Holbein' most likely refers to Hans Holbein the Younger (c. 1497-1543), a German painter and printmaker who worked in a Northern Renaissance style, and is considered one of the greatest portraitists of the 16th century.
