[Man and manuscript]
Description
The top of the first page of the Rowney ringbound reads ‘to the fair at another time.’ A sheet of lined notepaper has been pasted to page and includes sketches and notes on both sides. Side 1: sketch of a man holding a large oblong object on which is written ‘the champion English make’. Inscribed: ‘Talking about Sir Morel McKenzie. Cardigan, jacket, [mam]. And you well daren’t sell it with that written on it if it wasn’t’ (continues on Y1/JY/1/1/28/4).
